Flying to the conference Chena Hot Springs is located about 75 miles east of Fairbanks Alaska, and 435 miles north of Anchorage Alaska. Thus, the organizers strongly encourage LFQIS-2 participants to book travel to and from Fairbanks Alaska (FAI). Shuttle service between Fairbanks and the conference site can be arranged. Participants can also rent a car at the Fairbanks International Airport.

Alternately, if you choose to fly to and from Anchorage, there are two ways to get to the conference site. You can hire a car at the Anchorage International Airport, or you can travel from Anchorage to Fairbanks via the Alaska Railroad (dep. 0815, arr. 2000, coach fare $156 o/w, dome car fare $241 o/w.) Please note that the arrival times at Fairbanks (the northern terminus) are not infrequently subject to delay.

Driving to the conference By road, Denali National Park is: 2200 miles from Seattle WA, 3590 miles from Albuquerque NM, 3510 miles from Chicago IL, and 4205 miles from Washington DC. Please contact the local organizing committee if you are considering driving to the meeting.
